NPort® 5200系列設備連網伺服器可以 TCPServer、TCPClient或 UDP TCP ServerTCP Client 作業模式運作，確保其相容於標準網路 API (Winsock 或 BSD Socket) 為基礎的軟體。
R適用於現有軟體的 Real COM/TTY 驅動程式
每台 NPort® 都隨附有 Real COM/TTY 驅動程式，可將專門設計來與 COM/TTY 連接埠進行通訊的軟體快速且流暢地整合至 TCP/IP 網路之中。這是保障軟體投資的最佳方式，同時亦可享受到將串列裝置連上網路的各項優點。
控制使用 TCP/IP 或傳統 COM/TTY 連接埠的遠端串列裝置
藉由指定 NPort® 5200 的 IP 位址和連接埠號碼，網路插槽 API 即可從任何支援 TCP/IP 的主電腦直接存取整個網路上連接的串列裝置。對於以 COM 或 TTY 為基礎的舊式 Windows 或 Linux 軟體，Moxa 的 COM/TTY 驅動程式也提供了可以使其在網路上順利運作的方式。
